OBITUARY
Richard Hernandez, beloved husband and father and stepfather, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2024. Born to Mother Eloise Orozco and Father Pedro Hernandez. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Daniel; Alex; and David Hernandez.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Nona Hernandez. Her children, Walter Weber and his wife Cindy; Julie Weber; and Sherri Thompson. Grandchildren, Jeremy Joslin, Serena Ferraro, Amanda Wallace, and Adrianna Thompson. Great-Grandchildren, Jackson Joslin; Kaylee Huffstutler; Samara Alvarado; Gabriella Alvarado; Damian Alvarado; Graycee Ferraro; Lincoln Wallace; and Azazel Whitacre. His sons Jeffrey Hernandez, Rick Hernandez and granddaughter Joni. Sisters, Helen Baier; Lucy Casarez; Connie Sanchez and husband Tom; Mary Navarro and husband Ernie; Rita Valdez and her husband Art; Toni Rivera and her husband Fernando; and Terry Alverez. Brothers, Esteven and wife Hope; Raymond and wife Irene. As well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Richard enjoyed playing tennis in his younger years and traveling throughout his latter years with his wife Nona. The time he spent with grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought him much joy.
Richard worked the majority of his adult life in the restaurant industry. He worked 26 years as the Restaurant Manager of Weinstocks located in the Fresno Fashion Fair Mall, and in charge of food service at Glen Agnes Senior Housing until his retirement.
